Simisola Ogunleye, better known by her stage name Simi has shared her experience and challenges she faces in the entertainment industry as a woman.
The Nigerian singer, songwriter and actress said most often, female entertainers are constantly pitted against each other in the other to compete.
Sharing her experience on one of her social media account, Simi revealed that women can hardly get away with the very same thing their male colleagues getaway with in the industry.

“For every woman that is making it, there are tons of women that have been broken. If u stand up for urself, “she’s difficult”. If u’re not a pushover, “she’s proud”. If you take time for urself, “she’s lazy”. If you ask for what you deserve, “she’s greedy”. Well fvck you then.”
