Nigerian singer, actor-cum-politician, Banky W has obliged the Federal Government of Nigeria to press the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) optional.
The artiste and entrepreneur who happens to be on his second run for the Federal House of Representatives (House of Reps), shared this information in an interview with Channels TV.
Banky clearly stated that, the National Youth Service Corps, being a mandatory program for Nigerian graduates who desire to engage in political activities and the nation’s development, no longer serves it’s motive.
Furthermore, he stated that most graduates in this modern era, shows little or no interests in the program, therefore, bribe officials in order not to participate and make their ways.
The singer suggested, it is better to make it optional for interested persons, in order to save the government’s resources that can be used for the development of other sectors in the country.
