Afrobeats singers, Micheal Adebayo, aka ‘Ruger’ and Daniel Benson, popularly known as ‘BNXN aka Buju are currently in another battle of the best hitmaker.
Recall that the feud started last month when Ruger made an egoistic statement about being a better singer than BNXN when replying to a fan who told him BNXN was bigger than him.
BNXN asked fans to anticipate his new album, saying
“Talk is better with music. Bad Since’97 August ??”
Following the release on Thursday, 25th August 2022, BNXN took to Twitter to tweet a celebratory post, sharing a screenshot of his latest album “Bad Since 97” which was on number one on Nigeria’s Apple Music Album Chart then.
In the post, BNXN used the caption
“What if I, What if I, What if I…COOOKKKK” which is likely a derivation of Ruger’s hit single ‘Girlfriend’.
In an unexpected reply, Ruger tweeted
“Get a solo hit then talk to me fatty bum bum”in an open attack at BNXN.
However, Buju fired back saying the success of his project is more important to him than the hits.
Now they are in another war on Twitter.
Ruger tweeted,
“I am something. For years now, I have forced my songs down people’s throat whether e sweet abi e no sweet either by too much ads or by paying every influencer to make noise about a song they don’t even like. Or by speeding my song on TIKTOK. WHAT AM I ?”
Buju Replied,
“We know why you haven’t headlined any venue at all since you came in the game , not balmoral , not Eko hotel , not Muri Okunola , no even your father’s compound Or should be leave the country? … No headline anywhere? And you’re topping the chart ? Are we idiots? ?”
Ruger Responded,
“Buju baby ?? all I need from you now is simple. I need you to list just five songs of yours that’ll make your crowd go crazy at your shows and I’ll list mine. No features, just your songs buju baby I’m waiting”
Buju Added,
“Be organic or get the fuck out of my face!!
How you got a million views and less than 5k on Spotify ? Are you whining me ? You’re top of the charts and you’re not choking me in the streets like Asake? just tiktoks? Are you silly ? ??”
