The personal lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor of the leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has revealed that his client will be released anytime soon since there was no strong allegation to convict him.
The arrest of the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu which happened a few weeks back was one of the most highly discussed trauma ever condoned by the Buhari’s administration this month.
According to Ifeanyi, he outlined that the IPOB members should exercise patient while they discuss the trial in the Nigerian high court.
He also revealed that the result so far is keen on his release because the government has no strong allegations to convict him.
In his words, he said:
“We’re in high spirit that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will soon come out of detention sooner than expected, and better too. It’s one thing for allegations to be made, it’s another thing to establish it. But I don’t think there’s anything strong enough to convict him”
“There’s no cause for worry. His health is improving. Only that he has not been allowed access to his family, particularly his wife and children, which I see as another level of mental torture.”
